Texas Law Review Centennial Celebration

On March 26, the Texas Law Review (LRT) held its centenary banquet, bringing together LRT alumni of over 60 volumes.

Banquet included Legal Giants – LRT Heroa series honoring LRT alumni who have left significant impressions in the legal field. Among this year’s honorees were Diane P. Wood of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and deceased ALI member W. Page Keeton (Counsel for Second Law Reformulation, Misdemeanors) , Stephen D. Susman (founder of the Texas Law Review Association) and Charles Alan Wright (ALI president 1993-2000).

Ward Farnsworth, Dean of the University of Texas Law School, gave a welcome address and Mark G. Yudof, former Dean of the Texas Law School, was the keynote speaker. Hugh Rice Kelly of Texans for Lawsuit Reform gave a speech in recognition of LRT Volume 50, for which he served as editor, and Gregg Costa of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Past President of the Texas Law Review Association delivered closing remarks.
