The Lady Raiders host the State of Texas on Monday night


LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lady Raider basketball program wraps up its four-game homestand against the State of Texas on Monday night inside the United Super Markets Arena.

Last time

All american Viviane Gray made her season debut Friday night against Lamar as she dropped 16 points off the bench, including the tying layup to send the game into overtime. The Lady Raiders outscored Lamar 10-6 in overtime en route to the 72-68 victory. Rhyle mckinney added 14 points off the bench, hitting key buckets down the stretch. During this time, Taylah thomas led Tech in rebounds with six rebounds while scoring nine points, going 3-3 from the free throw line.

Scouting State of Texas

The Bobcats head to Lubbock with a 2-1 record, most recently beating UTSA on the road, 76-62. In three starts, Da’Nasia Hood is averaging 15.7 points per game, averaging six boards per competition. Ja’Kayla Bowie and Lauryn Thompson are averaging 9.3 points each. Texas State opened the season with then-ranked No. 7 Baylor dropping just seven points (77-70).

The Lady Raiders hit the road for the first time, traveling to Katy, TX for the Van Chancellor Classic against Ball State (November 26), Old Dominion (November 27) and New Mexico (November 28).
