Mineola, Texas, February 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Texas Community Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company of Mineola Community Bank, SSB (the “Bank”), today announced the recent addition of four new members to the Boards of administration of the Company and the Bank. New members bring diverse expertise and knowledge to an already experienced board and build capacity to continue to benefit from growth and engagement within the communities they serve.

Anthony R. Scavuzzo, CFA and Managing Principal, was appointed to serve on the Company’s Executive Committee. Mr. Scavuzzo also sits on Castle Creek’s investment committee. He works with the board of several portfolio companies, including Mid Penn Bancorp (NASDAQ:MPB), Pathfinder Bancorp (NASDAQ:PBHC), Enterprise Financial Services Corp (NASDAQ:EFSC), McGregor Bancshares, Guaranty Federal Bancshares (NASDAQ : GFED), First Bancactions of Texasand Lincoln Bancorp. He also sits on various Board committees related to governance, compensation, risk and asset and liability management. Mr. Scavuzzo earned his MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a BBA from the University of Iowa. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Kerry A. Kindle, Sr., RPh, sits on the company’s audit committee. He had served as the Bank’s Advisory Director since 2017. Mr. Kindle is the owner of Economy Drug in Grand Saline, Texasand the Crandall Pharmacy in Crandall, Texas. He currently sits on the board of directors of the Grand Saline Economic Development Corporation as well as the board of directors of Grand Saline Hospital. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy.

Demethrius T. Boyd was appointed to serve on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors. He had been the Bank’s Advisory Director since 2013. He is the Senior Pastor of St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church in Minola, TX, is a member and president of the Mineola Ministerial Alliance and currently serves on the Addie McFarland School Board. Mr. Boyd earned his Masters in Religious Education and Christian Counseling from DBU Living Word Bible College in Pasadena, California. He also holds a quality engineering certification in business management from the Universal Technical Institute in Deerfield, Ill.and a BBA of Angelina College in Lufkin, TX.

Bryan Summerville sits on the Company’s Remuneration Committee. Mr. Summerville has been with Tyler Pipe Company for forty years and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Wade Drains. He owns a decorative concrete business, East Texas Crete, and has also worked in rental property management for the past thirty years. Mr. Summerville is a city councilor for the Town of Lindale. He had served as an advisory director for the Bank since June 2020.
