CASA Community Engagement Coordinator for Kids of East Texas
Main duties :
- Recruit volunteers to serve as court-appointed volunteer lawyers
- Represent the organization in the community at events, conferences, fairs, meetings, businesses, etc.
- Contact organizations and groups and schedule presentations
- Complete background checks
- Facilitate the training of new volunteers and help with continuing education
- Help with the organization of events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or marketing preferred
- Experience recruiting and / or working with volunteers
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel within Smith County and occasionally Van Zandt and Wood counties
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs and set up and take down banners and display tables
